It never once suffered from the symptoms of second book syndrome.ĭespite the fact that Ruby, a Fireblood, defeated the tyrannical Frost King and allowed Arcus to take his rightful place as ruler of the Frostblood kingdom, the courtiers refuse to accept a Fireblood at the right hand and of the King and continuous make Ruby’s place at court an uphill battle.
